In the month of November, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Pakistan got an opportunity to implement web based software application for Aero Medical and Flight Standards Department. With a keen interest and vision, GM (IT) CAA Mr. Tahir Omar, worked in collaboration with IBEX Global, to implement a cost effective solution for two of the major departments at Civil Aviation Authority. The system will act as a One Window facility that will be operational round the clock and it will be managed by staff from Civil Aviation Authority country wide.
The acquiring of CAA was indeed a great achievement for IBEX Global. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority is a regulatory authority that overseas and regulates all aspects of civil aviation in Pakistan. Nearly all civilians’ airports in Pakistan are owned and operated by CAA. So acquiring CAA as a client was indeed a feather in our cap! A team of business analysts, software engineers and quality assurance engineers worked hard to accomplish such a huge task. The whole project was headed by Umer Masood, who is the Principal Software Engineer based in our Lahore office. He was aided by his team members which included employees from Karachi and Lahore; Ahsen Mehmood, Agha Rameez, Ayesha Shamim, Malik Murtaza, Obaid ur Rehman, Omer Aslam, Raza Ali, Tahir Ahmed, Tooba Mirza, Umer and Waheed Abbas.
There were two aspects to the services that IBEX Global provided to CAA. Firstly, we provided an Audit Planning and Scheduling Application to the Flight Standards Directorate of Civil Aviation Authority. The application helped to:
- Improve Departmental Efficiency
- Streamline Business Processes
- Enhance Employee Productivity
Previously, scheduling of audit events was done manually. In the process, multiple mediums were used, like telephone, emails, and letters. The chances of human error were increased because of the manual system, which is not affordable for department playing a critical role in ensuring State Safety.
Apart from this, IBEX Global provided a Medical Examination Tracking Application to the Aero Medical Directorate of Civil Aviation Authority. The application not only aimed to eliminate all challenges faced by the department, but also played a vital role to enhance their experience. It helped to track important medical records, improve departmental efficiency and monitor employee performance. It included the following components:

- Profile Management Module and User Access Matrix
- Medical Examination Forms and Record Keeping Forms Module
- Fund Management Module
- Dashboard and Reporting Module
