Describe yourself as a captain of a corporate cricket team & a marketing head at ibex.

Everyone knows a good captain but does not know how they became one. That’s the mystery of leadership. Before even thinking as a captain, I always kept myself as a cricketer on and off the field. I always wanted to be the most influential person in the group, and from childhood, I have had this ability to lead anyone from anywhere, adapt the situations tactfully, and see the individual needs of any player while still keeping them together as a team. This is how I worked in my professional life at any stage, when I was only responsible for my tasks and later when I led a team of more than 800+ workforce way back in 2010.

Currently, I am heading the marketing & branding department. It is a blend of so many experiences with a creative mindset. Hence, in a nutshell, from strategy to execution, measuring the effectiveness to optimization in both fields keeps me motivated.

What is your winning strategy?

I understand the passion my team holds for this game, and a successful marketer acts as both a skilled psychologist and strategist simultaneously. I am well-versed in how to motivate my team before they even set foot on the field. We have competed against numerous top teams in the corporate sector. Some surprised us, while others were taken aback by our performance. However, Meezan Bank stands as a consistent competitor whom we greatly respect and enjoy facing. For my team, a match against Meezan Bank holds the significance of The Ashes. Thus, whenever we go up against them, I present them with the history and tell them to show what a boy from ibex. can do.

Where do you see corporate in cricket? The future & can they make it to the Pakistani cricket team?

I envision a promising future. We already have individuals who have represented Pakistan on a national level. Having played in the U19 category myself, I understand the level of competition that the new players are introducing.

How do you manage to keep both of your teams happy?

For me, it's not merely about winning matches; it's about our players' well-being. I ensure that our team's physical and mental fitness takes center stage. On the flip side, when we have an important game ahead, the entire ibex. community rallies around our boys like no other, ensuring they maintain a good balance. One crucial aspect I'd like to emphasize is the brotherhood we share, which makes everything easy and enjoyable. It's so strong that even those ibexians who are now alumni often attend matches to support the ibex. knights. I suppose this is our secret formula for success, THE BROTHERHOOD.

What are the perks of being a knight at ibex.

What reactions do you get from the corporate fraternity on your team's performance?

I'll recall a funny incident that always happens to us on the pitch. People refuse to believe that the boys are actually working at ibex. because of their quality. Those who have not been at ibex. do not know the kind of talent it nurtures. It is the place where Pakistan's top singing talent used to work; now he is one of the stunners.
